It's a quick read and very easy to understand for small-business owners. Good story examples throughout and a clear layout.
It answers a number of the questions we're asked from business owners selling or dabbling in the thought of selling their business.
I believe it's the first book on the topic I've read that addresses the emotional side of selling a business. It's a valid part of the process.
We've seen a good number of small business sales and likely many more to come. Now I have a book, that I can recommend, that provides an insightful, systematic approach for the small-business owner seeking to sell their business. I haven't tried the Sellability Score, but I intend to do so.
We had Jerry on our podcast, The Entrepreneurs Library, to give a full run down of Final Act of Ownership. Jerry is very intelligent and gives outstanding advice. I highly recommend this book. If you want to hear a review from the author himself check out episode 22.
Jerry Baltus is a well-respected business coach that truly "gets it" when it comes to small business ownership and management. Never judging, always coaching, Baltus' style is charismatic, genuine and professional. This book should be read by all business owners looking for unique insight into their business cycle. As a Chamber of Commerce President, I recommend this book to any small businesses, and will be using this book in our new Book Club for discussion. Highly recommended read from a highly-professional business coach who practices what he preaches!
